What changes are needed and what are the barriers to bring them? With Philanthropy Impact
Event organized by Philanthropy Impact
Climate change, income inequality, digital technology changes, migration and poverty are some of the critical issues that our society need to face over the upcoming years.
During this event will be exploring the role of Philanthropy and Social Impact Investing in addressing these systemic issues.
We will ask if it is the responsibility of the wealthy in our society to tackle this? Can philanthropy alone be the solution, or do we need to be bolder and more innovative in our wealth generation to really get to the root of these issues? How can the public, corporate and third sectors work collaboratively to create real sustainable change? What can we learn from each other in how to tackle these issues effectively? Does finding common ground and collectively endorsing structural change represent the first meaningful steps to take.
Our panel members will also discuss how systemic change approaches could contribute to sustainable solutions and why it’s important to encourage constructive dialogue and collaboration around this concept.
Chair: Patricia Hamzahee FRSA, Founder, Integriti Capital, Director, Extend Ventures and Founder of Co-founder of the Black Funding Network
Panel: Seth Reynolds, Principal Consultant for Systems Change, NPC; Mary Rose Gunn, Founder and CEO, The Fore; Julian Corner, Chief Executive, The Lankellychase Foundation; Kristina Touzenis, Managing Partner, BST impact sàrl and Founding Partner Sympatheia.
